Plasma Fibroblast treatment is a fantastic treatment to tighten loose skin almost anywhere on the body.
How does plasma work?
Plasma uses a controlled electrical arc to sublimate (evaporate) skin on contact. This causes the skin to contract and has a tightening, lifting and rejuvenating effect. The plasma flash penetrates to the fibroblast in the dermis below and this stimulates accelerated diffusion and migration of collagen cells. The fibroblast activates new collagen and elastin formation helping the skin regenerate, maintaining skin firmness and tightness. The tissue regeneration can take up to 12 weeks.

The beauty of plasma is that it can be used on all areas of the skin that needs tightening. It’s also great to remove small benign growths such as skin tags, benign moles, solar keratosis, age spots etc.

How does it feel and what happens during treatment?
Before treatment a medical strength anaesthetic is applied for 45 min to numb the area properly. You still feel a slight stinging sensation during treatment, but most clients find it manageable. The plasma causes small carbon crusting dots to appear on the skin. These take about 7-10 days to fall off. There is very specific after care to adhere to after treatment as the dots need to stay dry and fall of naturally. Afterwards the area will feel sunburnt for a couple of days and redness and swelling is common.
